Netflix has officially announced the release date for its highly anticipated documentary chronicling the life and legacy of legendary Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair. Titled Untold: The Murder of Air McNair, the film is set to premiere on August 20, 2024, as part of the fourth volume of the Untold series .

McNair, known for his resilience and leadership on the field, led the Titans to Super Bowl XXXIV and earned the NFL MVP award in 2003. His life was tragically cut short on July 4, 2009, when he was found dead alongside 20-year-old Sahel “Jenny” Kazemi in a Nashville apartment. The Nashville Police Department ruled the deaths a murder-suicide, attributing the incident to Kazemi’s financial troubles and suspicions of McNair’s infidelity .

 

Directed by Rodney Lucas and Taylor Alexander Ward, the documentary delves into McNair’s illustrious career and the circumstances surrounding his untimely death. It features interviews with former Titans coach Jeff Fisher, Nashville police investigators, and McNair’s close friends, providing a comprehensive look at both his professional achievements and the events leading up to his death .

Untold: The Murder of Air McNair is now available for streaming on Netflix. Subscribers can watch the documentary to gain insight into the life of one of the NFL’s most respected quarterbacks and the mystery surrounding his passing.
