The University of Connecticut (UConn) has officially announced its 2025 football schedule, featuring a balanced mix of home and away games that promise to test the Huskies’ mettle throughout the season. Building on a successful 2024 campaign, where the team achieved a 9–4 record and secured a victory in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl against North Carolina, the Huskies are poised to continue their upward trajectory under head coach Jim L. Mora in his fourth year at the helm .

The season kicks off on August 30 with a home game against in-state rival Central Connecticut State at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field. This opener sets the tone for the Huskies, who aim to capitalize on their strong home-field advantage, having finished 6–1 at home in the previous season . Following the opener, UConn embarks on a two-game road stretch, facing Syracuse on September 6 and Delaware on September 13, providing early tests away from home.

Returning to East Hartford, the Huskies host Ball State on September 20, aiming to leverage their home success. The following week, they travel to Buffalo on September 27, concluding the first half of their schedule before a much-needed bye week. Post-bye, UConn welcomes FIU on October 4, seeking to maintain momentum into the latter part of the season .

A significant highlight of the 2025 schedule is the renewal of the rivalry with Boston College. The Huskies will travel to Chestnut Hill on October 18, marking the first of a four-game series between the two programs. This matchup rekindles a historic rivalry and presents an opportunity for UConn to assert itself against a familiar foe .

Continuing their road challenges, UConn faces Rice on October 25 before returning home to host UAB on November 1. The Huskies then welcome Duke on November 8, a game that adds to the competitive depth of their schedule. Concluding the regular season, UConn hosts Air Force on November 15 and travels to Florida Atlantic on November 22, aiming to finish strong and secure postseason opportunities.
