Miami has released its 2025 football schedule, outlining their season’s matchups…

The University of Miami Hurricanes have unveiled their 2025 football schedule, setting the stage for a season filled with high-stakes matchups and intense rivalries. Head coach Mario Cristobal, entering his fourth year, aims to build on the momentum of a 10–3 season in 2024, which concluded with a narrow loss to Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl.

The season kicks off on Sunday, August 31, with a primetime home game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Hard Rock Stadium. This nationally televised matchup, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC, is a rematch of the 2017 game where Miami secured a dominant 41–8 victory. The Fighting Irish lead the all-time series 18–8–1, but the Hurricanes are eager to start the season with a statement win.

Following the Notre Dame game, Miami faces Bethune-Cookman on September 6 and South Florida on September 13, both at home. The Gators visit Miami Gardens on September 20, renewing the Florida–Miami rivalry. The Hurricanes hold a 30–27 advantage in the series, with the most recent meeting in 2024 ending in a 41–17 victory for Miami.

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) schedule commences on October 4 with a road game against Florida State in Tallahassee. This rivalry game is always a highlight of the season, and Miami leads the all-time series 36–33. Other notable ACC matchups include home games against Louisville on October 17, Stanford on October 25, and Syracuse on November 8. The Hurricanes will also travel to SMU on November 1, Virginia Tech on November 22, and Pittsburgh on November 29.

Under Cristobal’s leadership, the Hurricanes have adopted an air raid offensive scheme under offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson. Defensively, Corey Hetherman enters his first season as defensive coordinator, bringing a fresh perspective to the team’s defensive strategies. Team captains Carson Beck, Rueben Bain Jr., and Francis Maugioa are expected to play pivotal roles in guiding the team throughout the season.

The 2025 season marks the 100th year of Miami Hurricanes football, adding historical significance to the campaign. With a mix of challenging non-conference games and a competitive ACC schedule, the Hurricanes are poised to make a strong push for a conference title and a potential spot in the College Football Playoff. Fans can look forward to a season filled with intense competition and the hope of returning Miami football to its former glory.
