2025 Football Schedule Released: Ohio State’s 2025 football schedule has been announced, outlining their season’s games…

The Ohio State Buckeyes have officially unveiled their 2025 football schedule, setting the stage for a season filled with high-stakes matchups and renewed rivalries. Coming off their ninth national championship victory in January 2025, where they defeated Notre Dame 34–23, the Buckeyes are poised to defend their title under the leadership of head coach Ryan Day, now entering his seventh season at the helm.

The season kicks off on August 30 with a marquee home game against the Texas Longhorns at Ohio Stadium. This opener is followed by two more non-conference home games: against Grambling State on September 6 and in-state rival Ohio University on September 13. After a bye week on September 20, the Buckeyes embark on their first road trip to face Washington on September 27, marking a significant early-season test.

October brings a mix of home and away Big Ten matchups. Ohio State hosts Minnesota on October 4 before hitting the road for consecutive games against Illinois on October 11 and Wisconsin on October 18. Following another bye week on October 25, the Buckeyes return home to face perennial rival Penn State on November 1, a game that could have significant implications for the Big Ten standings.

The Buckeyes continue their conference play with a road game at Purdue on November 8. They then host UCLA on November 15 and Rutgers on November 22, rounding out their home schedule. The regular season concludes with the highly anticipated rivalry game against Michigan in Ann Arbor on November 29, a matchup that consistently carries national championship implications.

Ohio State’s 2025 schedule is strategically balanced, featuring seven home games and five away contests. Notably, the Buckeyes will face both traditional powerhouses and emerging programs, ensuring a rigorous path to potential postseason play. The inclusion of new Big Ten members UCLA and Washington adds fresh dynamics to the conference landscape, presenting Ohio State with unique challenges and opportunities.
