In a testament to perseverance and talent, DJ Giddens, a native of Junction City, Kansas, has been selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 151st overall. Giddens, who had only one FBS scholarship offer coming out of high school—to Kansas State University—has now become the second player from the state of Kansas selected in this year’s draft, following teammate Jacob Parrish.

During his collegiate career at Kansas State, Giddens showcased his prowess as a running back. Over three seasons, he amassed 3,087 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns on 517 carries, averaging an impressive 6.0 yards per attempt. Additionally, he contributed 679 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 58 receptions.
