In a groundbreaking move, South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley has brought in WNBA icon Lisa Leslie to join her staff and help develop the Gamecocks’ frontcourt players. A three-time WNBA MVP and four-time Olympic gold medalist, Leslie brings championship pedigree and a wealth of experience to one of the top women’s basketball programs in the nation.
“I’m excited to help these young players grow and reach their full potential,” Leslie said. “This is a special opportunity to be part of something great.”
With South Carolina consistently producing elite post players, Leslie’s addition is expected to elevate the program even further. Her leadership, technical knowledge, and Hall of Fame résumé make her a massive asset for a team already loaded with talent.
