Five-Star Center Alexis Markowski, a Double-Double Machine, Enthusiastically Commits to Michigan State Women’s Basketball, Turning Down Major Offers from Rival Schools Kentucky and Kansas.

Michigan State women’s basketball has landed a game-changing commitment as five-star center Alexis Markowski announced her decision to join the Spartans. Known for her relentless rebounding and scoring ability, Markowski turned down major offers from Kentucky and Kansas to bring her talents to East Lansing.

The 6-foot-3 standout has been a dominant force in high school, consistently posting double-doubles and establishing herself as one of the top post players in the country. Her presence in the paint will provide an immediate impact for Michigan State, giving the Spartans a strong interior presence on both ends of the floor.

“From the moment I visited, I knew Michigan State was the right place for me,” Markowski said. “The coaching staff, the atmosphere, and the vision for the program really stood out. I’m excited to be a Spartan and compete at the highest level.”

Head coach Robyn Fralick and her staff have been building a competitive roster, and adding a talent like Markowski is a major win. With her commitment, Michigan State solidifies its frontcourt for the future and takes a big step toward contending in the Big Ten and beyond.
