Kianni Westbrook, a 6-foot-3 forward from Augusta, Georgia, has officially committed to the Arizona State Sun Devils women’s basketball program, choosing Arizona State over offers from Alabama and Florida.

Westbrook’s collegiate journey showcases her resilience and adaptability. She began her career at Daytona State College, where she played in 46 games with 44 starts over two seasons, averaging 13.4 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Her performance earned her First Team All-Central Conference and All-Region VIII/All-State honors in her final year at Daytona State.

 

She then transferred to Tennessee State University for the 2021-22 season, appearing in 29 games with 10 starts and averaging 4.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. In the 2023-24 season, Westbrook played at Oakland University, participating in 10 games with seven starts and averaging 6.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game with a 50 percent shooting percentage from the field.

 

Westbrook’s commitment to Arizona State adds significant depth and experience to the Sun Devils’ frontcourt. Her journey through multiple programs highlights her resilience and adaptability, qualities that will be valuable as she integrates into Arizona State’s system.
