Breaking: Just In: Florida Gators Men Basketball Announces the Hiring of Another Top Talented And Well Experienced Player after Rejecting Signing Deals With Alabama and South Carolina…

The Florida Gators men’s basketball program has made a significant addition to its roster by securing a highly talented and experienced player who previously declined offers from both Alabama and South Carolina. This strategic move underscores the Gators’ commitment to enhancing their competitiveness in the upcoming seasons.

This new recruit joins a team that has recently been bolstered by notable talent. One such standout is Alex Condon, an Australian player who joined the Gators in 2023. Condon, standing at 6’11”, has made an immediate impact, earning a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2024 after averaging 7.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. His decision to focus solely on basketball, transitioning from a promising Australian rules football prospect to a basketball standout, has paid dividends for both him and the Gators.

Under the leadership of head coach Todd Golden, now in his second year, the Gators have shown significant progress. The 2023–24 season concluded with a 24–12 record, including an 11–7 mark in Southeastern Conference play, culminating in an NCAA tournament appearance.
