Major Update: Ole Miss Strengthened Its Football Coaching Staff with Key Hires Designed to Improve Both Offensive and Defensive Strategies.

In a strategic move to bolster its football program, Ole Miss has made significant additions to its coaching staff, aiming to enhance both offensive and defensive capabilities.

On the offensive side, the Rebels have welcomed George McDonald as the wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator. McDonald, an alumnus of Illinois, brings 24 years of coaching experience, including recent roles at Illinois and NC State, where he contributed to high-ranking offensive performances.
Joining McDonald is Joe Cox, appointed as the tight ends coach. A former quarterback for the Georgia Bulldogs, Cox has previously coached at Alabama, Charlotte, and South Carolina, demonstrating a strong track record in developing offensive talent.
Defensively, Ole Miss has added Zach Arnett as an analyst. Arnett, who served as Mississippi State’s head coach last season, brings valuable SEC experience to the Rebels’ defensive strategies.
